Black tuxedo
It is the perfect choice for a glamorous wedding. However, it is important to remember that this decision comes with the adherence to rather strict rules. A tuxedo is not just the jacket and trousers; the accessories are equally important. So, what distinguishes a tuxedo from other men’s outfits? First and foremost, the black or dark navy color (we also distinguish the tropical tuxedo, where a white jacket is paired with black trousers).
The jacket can be either double-breasted or single-breasted with one button at the front. Characteristic features of a tuxedo include shawl or peak lapels covered with satin, fabric-covered buttons (matching the lapels), and trousers with a braid (also made from the same fabric as the lapels). When it comes to accessories, the tuxedo dress code is quite strict. A white shirt with jewelry buttons or a placket covering the buttons, a black self-tied bow tie, a Spanish waistcoat (which can be replaced by a vest) in the same color, and a white pocket square tucked into the breast pocket. Black Oxford shoes or patent leather shoes will be the perfect finishing touch to the outfit.
High-waisted trousers
Most Balamonte trousers feature a higher waist. This makes the trousers significantly more comfortable and prevents them from sliding down the hips. A higher waist also keeps the shirt tucked in better and prevents it from coming out when sitting. High-waisted trousers also help to visually elongate the legs, which significantly improves the appearance of a man’s silhouette.
Braces
Braces are the perfect complement to high-waisted trousers. In the case of a tuxedo, they are mandatory, and wearing a belt in this case is a mistake (tuxedo trousers do not have belt loops). However, it is worth considering braces even with a suit. They are much more comfortable than a belt, do not squeeze the stomach, and hold the trousers at the right height much better. Braces are also a very stylish accessory, which attracts attention and adds character.
